Lingnan
University took the Hong Lok campus as its
permanent address of the school in 1904.
Afterwards, the Administration of the school
began to construct the area. At the beginning of
the construction of the school, almost all of
the buildings were funded from the western
countries. And then the 1st Chinese
Principal of the Lingnan University- Dr. Wing
Kwong Chong called on the Chinese people
donating some funds to support the education of
China, building more and more buildings in the
Hong Lok campus.
Because
Dr. Wing Kwong Chong had made such a great
effort for the Lingnan
University in the past, Lingnan
Alumni built a special
building in 1924 to commend and remember him,
and named the building as Wing Kwong Hall.
